YouTube Comment Picker
Paste a video URL to pull its comments, then pick a random winner — perfect for giveaways and contests. Optionally require a keyword (like your giveaway hashtag) for a comment to be eligible.
We fetch up to 1,000 of the most relevant comments per video via the official YouTube API.
How it works
- 1Paste your giveaway video's URL and click Fetch comments.
- 2Optionally set a required keyword so only matching comments are eligible.
- 3Click Pick a winner — reroll as many times as you like.
When to use this
- You announced a giveaway with a required comment or hashtag and need a fair, verifiable draw.
- You want an audit trail — a specific tool run, not a manual scroll-and-pick that people can question.
- You're running a recurring series (weekly Q&A picks, monthly giveaways) and want a consistent process.
A worked example
Paste your giveaway video's URL, set the required keyword to "#giveaway", and the tool fetches up to 1,000 top-level comments, filters to only those containing the keyword, then picks one at random — reroll as many times as you like before you announce the result.
Frequently asked questions
Does this fetch every comment on the video?+
It fetches up to 1,000 top-level comments, ordered by relevance, which covers the vast majority of videos. Extremely high-comment videos may be truncated — we'll tell you if that happens.
Are replies included?+
No — only top-level comments are eligible, matching how most giveaways are run.
Can I see comments that Google/YouTube filtered as spam?+
No — only comments YouTube's own API returns as public are fetched, so anything held for review or filtered as spam won't be in the eligible pool.
Is the pick actually random?+
Yes — it draws uniformly at random from the fetched, keyword-matching comment pool each time you click Pick a winner.
